It was a productive meeting discussing both the sample ballot for the 2010 General Election, and ideas for adding relevant local and general news items to the web site.
We had a spirited debate about the messaging for the Democratic Party of Evanston. After going over the results from the two previous messaging meetings. And we agreed on a message to present to the Board for approval. Even though that took most of the meeting we did quickly discuss the rest of the agenda items: moving forward on the logo contest, crafting a new committee budget, and redesign of the 2010 general election sample ballot. With the beginnings of a new Spring we are looking forward to exciting changes. The sole items for the agenda was to plan for the DPOE message process and logo/slogan contest. Even though we had light turnout we made good progress on the planning.
In spite of the horrid weather for the monthly Communications meeting we managed to have enough people to get some progress on advancing the new DPOE web site.
