Thanks to Everyone Who Came to Our Inaugural Ball!!

   


What a wonderful celebration! Last month, the Democratic Party of Evanston sponsored an Inaugural Ball at the Hilton Garden Inn to celebrate President Obama's election to a second term and the amazing job done by the volunteers. Over 1100 volunteers throughout the campaign worked out of our Evanston office making phone calls, buttons and trips to Iowa and Wisconsin. On January 26th joined by our great legislators, we danced the night away to live rock, pop, soul and standard music by the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. Five Thirty Eight: "A Good Week for Obama in Forecast"

Statistics savant Nate Silver has some good news for President Obama in his most recent projections.  Silver points out that Friday's jobs report, while not spectacular, was respectable and will likely improve voters' opinions of the President's stewardship of the economy. His projection of the President's reelection chances improved to 71.1%.
